San Cristobal de La Laguna, next to the Group of World Heritage Cities of Spain, has participated in a meeting with tourism stakeholders to promote the Indian market, held recently in Seville, organized by Turespaņa. After a presentation of the state issuing the Indian market of tourists, there were several working meetings with tourism stakeholders working in this country.
For experts India is probably the emerging outbound market with greater growth potential over the medium term to Spain. According to the Air Transport Association (IATA) in 2007 flew to Spain nearly 90,000 passengers from India, which represented almost 16% increase over 2006. For this reason, the Group Heritage Cities has joined these professional days, continuing a first approach to the Indian market opened in 2007, allowing to position the thirteen cities and all its historical and cultural heritage preferred destination compared to other European options.
