How come?

The arrival on the island of Tenerife is conducted both by air and sea, for that in the case of San Cristobal de La Laguna, has an international airport, the Los Rodeos, Tenerife Norte. In the capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, a few miles from the historic center of La Laguna, enter daily ferries and cruise ships from around the world.

 
Tenerife North Airport.

The island is connected to the outside by two airports, one located south of the island about 60 kms from downtown San Cristobal de La Laguna, and another in the same municipality, only 3 kms away from the historic center. There are many scheduled airlines and 'low cost' daily connecting many cities in Europe and the Americas with this airport.

Puerto de Santa Cruz de Tenerife

The capital of Tenerife, Santa Cruz de Tenerife is a few miles from the historic center of La Laguna, and is the gateway to the island by sea of thousands of visitors each year. More and more cruises from ports around the world arrive at the dock in Tenerife, as well as vessels that connect the island with Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. The port of Los Cristianos, situated in the south of the island, is the connection with western islands: La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro.
